            Gas is subjected to an oxidizing cracking at a high temperature in the presence of O2, whereby the CH4 is converted to H2 and CO.  The H2 and N2 in the resulting gases are separated in a liquefaction apparatus and used for the production of NH3.  The CO may be used along with H2 for the synthesis of MeOH.
