An improvement in the process wherein the 2 successive evaporations are conducted in 2 separate vessels. The preheated mixture is sprayed into the 1^st vessel. Here, the volatile components volatilize and the soap falls into a 2d vessel, whence it is picked up on a heated conveyor on which the remaining unsaponified constituents are removed.
