Abstract

PURPOSE: To effect high-efficient production of wax, as wax productivity and reactivity are kept high, by subjecting a gas mix of carbon monoxide and hydrogen such as synthesis gas to the Fischer-Tropsch process in the presence of a Co-Lanthanide atom-Ni catalyst.

CONSTITUTION: A gas mix of hydrogen and carbon monoxide is brought into contact with a ternary catalyst of cobalt atom-lanthanide atom-nickel atom (including the carrier) at 180 to 250oC reaction temperature in a gaseous phase (especially under supercritical conditions) to produce hydrocarbon compounds containing hydrocarbons of 20 to 40 carbon atoms (waxes).
